In this album cover project I used imported pain brushes to create different designs. I implicated thicker and think brushes with different variety for my record label. My album is based off of the rapper Drake's song, One Dance. The front of the cover has text, the title, and in the background many different layers of brushes. The back of the album features a picture of Drake, the artist himself, with the lyrics displayed. I also have the three different stages when I was designing this album in the first three pictures. I included my record label on the back of the album cover so the viewer can clearly see who produced it.
In this album it is based off of A Whiter Shade of Pale by Annie Lennox which Mr. Adams assigned to me. On the front cover there are ten different images displayed in different layers all relating to the lyrics. I used the brush design to help collage the photos. On the back I have my record label with rain in the background to help depict the mood of the song, sadness. I have the lyrics also on the back for the song. On the cover of this album I wanted to keep the original shape of the photos so they were empathized but I placed them on all different layers so they could blend. I used the clarity of some images to promote their boldness and decreased the clarity of some images to help the blend.
T-Shirt Recreation
This album is a recreation of the first Drake album, but this time he is going on tour. This is his tour cover promoting him as the artist. I took a picture of Drake rapping and used the lasso tool in Photoshop to cut him out. I then pasted him on a white background and added a paint brush design to draw attention to him, reasoning for the dull color. The font of his tour name was picked to help represent Drake and his genre. I took the clarity and size of the brush and altered it to help cover more area but allowing it to blend. This cover is intended to be eventually printed out on a t-shirt and is taking my first album of Drake and recreating it.
